Why Official Sources Matter
Tennessee public-records rules can make records available, but they do not put every arrest and custody detail in one place. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office maintains law-enforcement records, while its Corrections Division describes county custody at the Madison County Jail System. The Jackson Police daily-arrest route directs users to P2C for city-police information, and the Tennessee Department of Correction FOIL locator serves a different population: people currently or formerly in TDOC custody or supervision.
Courts supply the later disposition, such as a dismissal, diversion, acquittal, or conviction. A written request under the Madison County public-records policy is the formal route when an online county roster or photo policy has not been verified. These sources are collected here to make the boundaries between an arrest event, county custody, and a state record easier to recognize. No booking-photo gallery is hosted by this site.
Records Topics Covered Here
The reference pages are arranged around the record holder and the question being asked, rather than around copied arrest listings.
- The home page explains official paths for county booking records, current-custody questions, public-records requests, court follow-up, and correction or removal law.
- Jackson, Three Way, and Medon pages distinguish city arrest information from the Madison County Jail records path.
- Wanted Fugitives separates the sheriff’s most-wanted information from an official warrant check.
- Arrest News explains how local reporting can be a lead while the sheriff, arresting agency, and court remain the verification sources.
- State, federal, and immigration locators are described by custody type so that a county booking is not mistaken for a later TDOC, BOP, or ICE record.
Limits of a Private Site
Madison County Busted Mugshots is independently operated. It has no relationship with a Tennessee government office, sheriff, jail, corrections department, or court. It cannot release, hold, transfer, or locate a person in custody, post bond, arrange a visit, send money, retrieve an official file, or provide legal advice.
- Only the record custodian can determine whether a requested booking record or photograph is maintained and releasable.
- Only the appropriate court record can establish the outcome of a charge after booking.
- Official agencies may change their processes, public access, or record availability without notice.
- Booking charges are accusations, not proof of guilt, and a later case disposition may differ from the initial allegation.
Current custody, charges, release status, and record availability must be verified with the originating government custodian.
